The fairytale castle in Lysefjord
Ole Bull drew inspiration from all over the world for this house. Here are carved roses of local origin, stars of David and Moorish books inside and Russian onion dome as the most exotic seen from the outside. The Lysøen Museum is open in the summer, during the opening hours there is a boat ride from Buena in the Lysefjord. The Lysøen Museum is the only museum located in Os. The museum was established in 1974, when the descendants of Ole Bull donated the property to the Past Memory Association.
